Best Teaching Practices Showcase/Award

In order to facilitate interaction between educational researchers and the teaching community, teachers are invited to demonstrate and share innovative teaching practices that they have found to be highly effective. This event provides an opportunity to the teachers to interact with the top notch researchers in the field of education. Further, the entries will also be examined by a panel of eminent educationalists and the first three best entries will be awarded a certificate/plaque and a token cash prize. All accepted entries will be given certificates for participating.

Who can apply?

School (K-12) teachers and undergraduate teachers from all colleges in India. The teachers can be from any field such as Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering, Medical, etc.

Key Criteria of Teaching Strategy:

The teaching/learning strategy must show how well computer technology has been utilized to add significant value to the teaching or learning by the student. Computer technology includes PCs, laptops, handhelds, data loggers and sensors, computer software and any related gadgets/software.

How to apply:

Please submit a write up in English not exceeding two pages describing the teaching strategy. You can use pictures/screen shots/block diagrams to clarify things. Your write up should highlight how you have integrated computer technology such as computers, data loggers, etc. into your strategy. Your write up should include the following details about yourself:

Designation
Name of institution

Procedure

Once you entry has been accepted, you will be informed of the same. After this you are required to send your hardware/software requirements for demonstrating your strategy in the conference. All entrants who have demonstrated their work at the conference will be given certificates of participation.

All accepted entrants are automatically entitled to complimentary registration for ICCS2005 conference. Registration includes free CDROM based conference proceedings, lunch on conference days, tea/coffee and one conference dinner. The registration does not include accommodation or travel expenses. Also if your entry has more than one name, only one person can freely register for the conference. Registrations are not transferable.
