Ispeak
| The project is based on the CRCS experiment
of imparting English pronunciation and accent training using speech
recognition software -DragonDictate. Dragon Naturally Speaking is used to evaluate the closeness of a person's accent with a target (desired) accent. The result of this experiment was the basis of the accent training application "Speak Right" developed at CRCS. Using SpeakRight users could listen and practice words, sentences and paragraphs using speech recognition software - Dragon Naturally Speaking. Speak Right included a set of pre-recorded audio files; music and video to improve spoken language skills. Users could also invoke Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary to listen and practice English language words. Speak Right in its new and enhanced version - Ispeak is being evaluated by NIIT SmartServe to assist and improve call centre voice and accent standards.
