| At times, the prospective students at NIIT centres had to wait for a long time to meet the counsellor and take the required information. To overcome such problems and take off some load from the student counsellors, CRCS developed an information system to provide generic information about NIIT and its education to its prospective students. |
| The Front Office Counsellor
is a package that uses a game-like interface to provide information
about NIIT and its courses to the potential students in an attractive
and efficient manner. It also tracks the user path, which can yield
useful marketing data. The package has been programmed using Visual C++ and involves the concept of Ray Casting. The interface consists of a maze (simulated as NIIT office); various parts of which consist of information regarding NIIT. The user goes through this maze and gets the required information. The Front Office Counsellor was installed in all front offices of NIIT’s own centres. |
