About TNI

The NIIT Institute of Information Technology, hereafter referred to as TNI, is sponsored by NIIT Education Society. It is supported by NIIT Ltd., a globally acclaimed institution in IT Education & Training. 24 years of long and rich experience of NIIT and its expertise in offering global, industry-linked, technology-driven variety of programs with seamless features gives TNI a unique head start in moving closer to its stated mission.
TNI has been set up with the sole objective of providing a world-class education and conducting research in the emerging areas of knowledge society. To begin with, TNI is focusing on the following program offerings at the Post-Graduate level:

  • Bio-Informatics
  • Educational Technology
TNI has initiated actions to be empowered to grant degrees, on its own. Once it happens, the above Programs will be available as PG Degree Programs. Registered students will be given an option to seek transfer to the respective PG Degree Programs.
The structure, the curriculum and the delivery are all designed to impart the following attributes to the Programs:
  • State-of-the-art curriculum
  • Use of cutting edge technology in delivery, management and administration
  • Seamless with regard to structure, delivery methods and educational operations to provide flexibility for learners
  • Research focus at all levels and across all Programs
  • Industry linkage in curriculum design and delivery
  • Global marketability
Presently, TNI is functioning at 8, Balaji Estate, Sudarshan Munjal Marg, Kalkaji, New Delhi. The main campus is going to be located at Neemrana, Distt. Alwar, Rajasthan, on NH 8, at an hour’s drive from Gurgaon, Haryana. It is being designed as a fully residential campus with all modern amenities. A rural backdrop with historic significance in idyllic surroundings, that is in close proximity to the capital city of Delhi, makes it an ideal location for pursuit of higher education and research. The main campus will be operational w.e.f. the academic year 2008-09.
The top academic leadership in the country is advising TNI, and the top corporate leadership is spearheading TNI towards its goal of becoming an Institution of Excellence. It indeed is a place, where there is a convergence of academia and industry and where the globe shrinks.
