This workshop is about using surface computing devices in school education. Some of you might have heard of a touch screen like device called Microsoft Surface (check out its video on youtube). It is actually a multitouch screen and therefore multiple children can work collaboratively on a specially designed application.
Very recently we got an opportunity to work on a surface computing device, jointly with University of Bristol, UK. We thought that both the technology and the educational content would be of interest to young NIITians. Hence this workshop. In this workshop the children will not only use this device but we are hoping that they actually create content for it!
Who can attend ?
Children from grades 7th to 9th can participate in this workshop.
